Job Description

We are seeking a results oriented Senior Manager, Operations - eCommerce to drive best-in-class eCommerce experiences from first click to final delivery. In this role, you’ll champion the customer at every touchpoint, optimize site performance, and shape post-purchase moments that build loyalty. Partnering across global digital, IT, fulfillment, marketing, merchandising, and supply chain teams, you’ll lead data-driven initiatives, streamline operations, and bring innovative solutions to life that keep Salomon ahead of the competition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily:

Customer Experience & Technical Oversight

  • Advocate for the consumer experience in all operational decisions, balancing speed, cost, and brand presentation.
  • Analyze customer feedback and operational KPIs to drive improvements in the purchase-to-delivery journey.
  • Partner with the global Salomon UX and digital teams to ensure operational capabilities align with front-end experiences.
  • Lead the execution of personalized customer experiences to tailor content and offers based on user behavior.
  • Leverage expertise in multi-variant testing and conversion rate optimization to drive engagement and improve site performance
  • Collaborate with the global IT team to ensure platform stability, manage bug tracking and escalation, drive continuous on-site improvements and implement new features
  • Define eCommerce business needs to inform the Digital Program Roadmap
  • Lead change management for operational process updates and system rollouts.

Post-Purchase Experience

  • Partner with fulfillment and customer service to rapidly resolve escalations and identify recurring operational issues.
  • Partner with fulfillment and customer service teams around initiatives to improve packaging, unboxing experience, and sustainable shipping practices.
  • Monitor competitor benchmarks and emerging fulfillment trends to stay ahead in service offerings.
  • Establish feedback loops both on and off-site to improve the on-site and post-purchase experience

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as the bridge between eCommerce, supply chain, marketing, merchandising, and customer service teams to support go-to-market plans.
  • Ensure operational readiness for major sales events, campaigns, and product drops.
  • Lead cross-functional operations meetings to track initiatives and resolve roadblocks.
  • Work closely with the Digital Marketing and Merchandising teams to optimize activation strategies and channels
  • Mentor and develop junior operations staff and project managers.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of eCommerce experience.
  • Experience collaborating with global UX, IT and digital product teams to align front-end experiences with back-end capabilities
  • Change management
  • Demonstrate success in conversion rate optimization, A/B or multi-variant testing and performance analytics
  • Hands-on experience with eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc) and related operational tools (CMS, OMS, WMS, CRM)
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects involving marketing, merchandising, supply chain and customer service teams
  • Experience with change management, including process redesign and new system rollouts
  • Experience working in an Agile/SAFE model
  • Strong people management skills with experience mentoring and developing teams

Skills & Competencies

  • The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with tools such as Algolia, Dynamic Yield, Contentful, Piano Analytics, and Power BI

  • Brand marketing mindset with a deep understanding of the online consumer journey, focusing on acquisition, conversion, and retention.
  • Strong ability to influence others and advocate for brand priorities.
  • Skilled in partnering with centralized global teams with diverse priorities and objectives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of addressing both analysis and strategy at the executive level.
  • Willingness to take initiative and solve new business challenges in support of the broader team.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multi-stakeholder, international matrix environment.

Additional Information

Salary Range:

At the time of this posting, the estimated salary pay range is from $160k USD to $180k USD. This range varies depending on the market location. Individual pay within this range will be determined based on factors such as job-specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training.

Please note that the mentioned pay range represents the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits package.
