Ecommerce Content Specialist

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, creative  Ecommerce Content Specialist to help bring our online product catalog to life and ensure an engaging and accurate shopping experience for our customers. The Digital Content Specialist manages and optimizes product data and content across Mast Store’s ecommerce platforms. This role collaborates with buyers, marketing, and vendors to ensure that all product descriptions, images, and attributes are accurate, consistent, and optimized for search engines (SEO). 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

• Sets up and maintains Style-level product data for all Mast Store merchandising and sales channels (e.g., website, marketing initiatives). 
• Assures the collection input accuracy and standardization of product data in the product information and content management system. This includes ensuring all data elements are correctly standardized, relations are correctly assigned for web display, products are presented in a search (internal and external) optimized manner, and that non-text characters are formatted correctly.
• Continually reviews previously published website product information for opportunities to improve the consistency of information across the various business channels and events. 
• Creates original content for all of the above within our brand voice.
• In all of the above, the Team Member will follow accepted guidelines and procedures. Decisions outside of accepted internal practice require supervisory approval.
• Assists with ensuring marketing goals are met by examining and tracking featured or sale items. 
• Assists with Mast Store Online clerical duties and product onboarding flow.
• Assists with procuring product images and other related digital assets from the vendor and the manufacturer’s marketing sites.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

(Mast will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job)

• 4-year degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in any of the following fields of study: Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications.
• 2 years of experience in persuasive copywriting. 
• 2 years of Data Management experience.
• 2 years in an Ecommerce role.
• 2 years of frontline retail experience. 
• Experience as a lead or member within a data governance or stewardship program. 
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Proven, strong Mac/PC skills, including MS Office applications and third-party systems.  
• Attentiveness to accuracy and detail as required, analyzing and editing complex product information for correctness and completeness. 
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Working knowledge of the English language, scientific terms, abbreviations, and characters. 
• Excellent spelling, grammar, and creative writing skills required to create and edit consumer-facing content in the established writing style and voice.  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
